Thurs. Oct. 1, 1908 I harrowed. John went to Leesburg. 
Fri. Oct. 2, 1908 I took my clover seed to Leesburg. Sold 45 bu & 12 lb. at $5.00. Brought $226.00
Sat. Oct. 3, 1908 I took 2 old sows & 2 shoats to Atwood. Sold to E. Cook & sons. Weighed 650 lb at 5 cts. 2 shoats at 6 cts brought $17.40. One Johns & Libs weighed 160 $9.00. Mine -2 sows $32.50. 1 shoat 140 lb $8.40. Total mine $40.90. B. Gokenhour brought me 35 bu of potatoes.
Sun. Oct. 4, 1908 Lib & I went over to F. Corrells. Went to prayrer meeting in the evening. 
Mon. Oct. 5, 1908  Dry. Finished digging potatoes North of the house.
Tues. Oct. 6, 1908  I commenced digging trench for to lay pipe in to run water to the barn.
Wed. Oct. 7, 1908 Dry. Digging trench.
Thurs. Oct. 8, 1908 Dry. Digging trench.
Fri. Oct. 9, 1908 Dry. Chinworth came & put up the wind mill. We helped him.
Sat. Oct. 10, 1908 Dry. Dug trench & pumped water in it. Let Oscar Wallace have $5.00. Him to pay it back or work it out. John Smith came up this evening.
Sun. Oct. 11, 1908 Cool & dry. At home all day. John Smiths was here.
Mon. Oct. 12, 1908 Dry. I went down to F. Harmons & doctored his colt. Came back & dug trench. Bill Gokenhour helped me in the afternoon. Chinworth was here in the afternoon. I told him about the tower being No. 1 & 2.
Tues. Oct. 13, 1908 We dug the trench from the house to the pump & sistern. Bill Gochenhour helped in the afternoon.
Wed. Oct. 14, 1908 We dug trench & some of the sitern. Bill Gokenhour helped in the afternoon.
Thurs. Oct. 15, 1908 We dug trench. Bill Gokenhour helped all day.
Fri. Oct. 16, 1908 John & I dug trench & helped Chinworth. Paid J. Wolf $6.65 telephone rent.
Sat. Oct. 17, 1908 Tennant & I dug trench & put in pipe in the cistern. Chinworth was here & helped put in pipe.
Sun. Oct. 18, 1908  At home all day.
Mon. Oct. 19, 1908 I took a load of hogs to warsaw for W. Tennant. Pd Conrad for setting wagon tire $3.00. Buggy tire $2.80. Shoeing Ned 60 cts & putting new tires on John's buggy $5.50 total $11.90. Pd. Peterson $4.50 for 2 1/2 barles of cement. Pd Grabner 40 cts for file & 10 lb of nails. Pd Wheler for 500 brick $3.50. Pd Gerard 15 cts for lunch.
Tues. Oct. 20, 1908 John & I unloaded the brick & I filled in some trench. Charles Wolf came after Chinworths tools.
Wed. Oct. 21, 1908 I made forms to make a cement tank by.
Thurs. Oct. 22, 1908 John & I commenced the cement tank. Tennant helped me in the afternoon and we finished it.
Fri. Oct. 23, 1908 I took the frames off of my cement tank & smoothed it up.
Sat. Oct. 24, 1908 I helped husk some corn. I killed a mutton today. 
Sun. Oct. 25, 1908  Went to Sunday school.
Mon. Oct. 26, 1908 I worked at the cistern & leveled the dirt around the pump. Will Irvin was up. He brought Election papers up.
Tues. Oct. 27, 1908 I dug the cistern hole larger.
Wed. Oct. 28, 1908  I went to Warsaw. Paid Libs & my taxes. Paid Frank Funk by Mary Wallace $13.00. Paid the Globe $1.00 for me overhalls & 3 pairs of gloves.
Thurs. Oct. 29, 1908 Chinworth came & finished laying pipe. We settled up. 380 feet & 9 inch pope at 8cts $30.62. 11 elbows 1.10, 2 unions 30 cts. 1 check valve 75 cts $72.00 windmill & house tank. Total $104.80.
Fri. Oct. 30, 1908 Sent Paul to Atwood aftern Newton Lutes. Him & I worked at the cistern. 
Satu. Oct. 31, 1908 Newton Lutes & I finished cementing my cistern till noon. Paid him $3.00 for 1 1/2 days work. Oscar worked at the cubbards till noon & then he went with me to warsaw. I got Election supplies today. Paid the Globe 50 cts for Dale undersuit. Paid Rovenstine 50 cts for sugar.
